About Library

The library at LIBA was established in 1979, the same year when the business school came into existence. Since then the library has grown from strength to strength as an integral part of this business school.LIBA library is already known as one of the best of its kind in the country and boasts of a large number of top-class management books. The Library provides tailor-made services to faculty, staff, students, alumni, and research scholars. Apart from books (over 35,800) our collection extends to about 65 print periodicals on management, e-resources i.e. online databases EBSCO, Sage Journal, ClaOnline, NDL, Magzter.com, ProQuest, e-brary and intranet database Industry outlook by CMIE and subscription to a large number of leading Indian newspapers. The spacious reading hall is accommodated in a computerized and Wi-Fi enabled building and is open seven days a week. The Library provides an excellent ambiance for self-study and research.

The first impression every LIBYTE gets while entering our library is the warm welcome by faculty members who smile whole heartedly and welcome us, which always encouraged us to come often and concentrate on our research and studies.

Our library has a good ambience (with air-conditioning and a comfortable seating arrangement), well accommodating staff in terms of customized services provided to the batch based on the need. This helps us feel relaxed and soothes our mood, helping us to feel at home and focus on our work peacefully in any given situation.

The library staff are known for their experience, punctuality and dedication and stand as an inspiration to most of the students at LIBA.

Our library also hosts wide variety of reading resources ranging from books, magazines, online resources and Journals. Availability of Amazon kindle devices, Audio visual room, previous year’s best internship materials and newspapers reminds us the fact that a lot is yet to be learnt and explored here.

The wide variety of resources are well-organized and make it easy for us to quickly grab books even in short breaks available between classes. Books ranging from novels to technical-based knowledge to management studies are available at our library. The library timings which range from 7:30 am to 10 pm, Monday to Saturday and 9:30 am to 5:30 pm on Sunday gives us the flexibility to spend productive time even during busy days.

In short, our LIBA library equips us with ample resources that enable us to prepare for corporate life and helps us develop a lifelong learning habit

LIBA has one-of-a kind library which I have ever come across. I was not a fond reader of books but the collection of books here are so good that it kindled my interest in reading. I became interested in self motivation books and those of many other genres. The vast collection of news papers also help the students in being upto date with their current affairs which are very essential for the placements process.
